McLaren goes to Indy... [PIC]

I think that win in 1976 was the shortest race in INDY 500 history at 102 laps. An impressive win by Rutherford and a great car despite that. Wonderful photography as always. Thanks.

Nice model but I've always been partial to the Penske McLaren that Donahue drove in 1972

@franklemire The blue and yellow Sunoco livery always looks great.

@rich-sufficool Penske was really the first owner to take the time and effort to have his cars look like 'show pieces' when they went to the line. This was a nice era in motorsports - the cars had not yet evolved into full rolling billboards.

Yes, I've seen those prices.

Last Indy we attended in person-  remember it well-  wife was expecting but we went anyway-  she was wearing all white and in the rush got pushed down and trampled-  she had foot prints all over-  and of course it was my fault and she never let me forget it-  baby OK-  boy born in August and is now 44-
