Minichamps 1:18 SCALE Porsche 917/30 - won't open!

I have this Minichamps Porsche 917/30 - the doors open, but the back body work is locked down tight! I am sure it is supposed to open as in the attached photo. Any help would but very much appreciated.

I have this one, too.  It has tabs near the roll bar, so you have to lift the bodywork from the back of the car & kind of pivot upwards.

I don't remember it being screwed down from the factory, but its been 10 years since I bought mine & it was pre-owned.  Hope this helps.

 very UNDERRATED model car. The details are fantastic, that's why I don't care for resin models. Have a picture of this car with Donahue and Penske sitting on the guard rail next to it. Later that summer, Donahue was killed testing a prototype car.

Good to hear that yours opens! This one is locked down tight and will not come off no matter what force  used, see video link:

I have made contact with Minichamps and will see if they have a solution.

I would love to see the engine detail if or when I can get the body work off!

Mark Donahue retired after winning the Indy 500 and CanAm championships.

Came out of retirement in 1975 to race F1 with Penske and died in a practice accident at the Austrian GP
