The Alfa Romeo Montreal got its name from the 1967 concept car that debuted at EXPO67 in Montreal, Canada. The car was designed by Marcello Gandini of Bertone. This 2+2 coupe was produced from 1970 to 1977. The most notable styling cue was the retractable "grilles" over the quad headlamps and a NACA scoop on the hood that was non-functional and served to hide the power bulge in the hood. More expensive than the Jaguar E type and the Porsche 911, only 3900 units were ever produced. Ironically, it was never sold in Montreal as Alfa never made a North American variant.
Nicely done model. I never bought one, as the looks never really appealed to me.
Very nice. I do like this is red. I have one in orange from AutoArt.
Brilliant photos.
