MotorMax 1953 Buick Skylark question. I've got a chance to buy a MotorMax 1953 Buick Skylark (reddish/brown color) convertible. Perfect shape and the price is good. Just asking about the proportions and details. I've got a 1:24 from the Danbury Mint and I realize that this one won't be at that level. Just asking to see if it's reasonable. It looks good to me from 3 feet! Thanks.

Richard, I have the '53 Buick Skylark in 1:18 and it actually is well done for the price. When compared to my DM version in the same color, it looks good. I like Buicks, 1:1 and in scale, so it was a necessary purchase.

Richard, I think you will like this model very much. It is really well done and all the more so considering it's low price point.

I have the 1/18 and 1/24.....Motor Max hit a home run with theirs.......good model and great for the money.

The first thing I thought when I saw it was...
... that MM had pantographed the shape directly from the DM version. It might be the best model MM ever did. Real aspect hinges on the doors, decently detailed throughout, and if you're up to a little tabletop detailing, it could be a first string model. Just checked my old sample, and it's still looking good!

Thanks to everybody for the comments. I'll pick it up this coming week. Looked good to me - but figured I'd check with all the experts !
