My grand kids and my cars !
When the grandkids come to grandma and grandpa's house, there's a lot of fun in grandpa's office. And it's fun for me to give them some of the more robust models to play with. Both Ollie and his cousin Evey get in on the fun.
Ollie, my grandson, is a big fan of Porsches and a big fan of Cars, the movie (notice the slippers), and I thought it would be fun to convert a Bburago Porsche 911 GT3RS I had into its Cars equivalent. Since there is already a 911 in Cars, Sally - Lightening McQueen's girlfriend, I thought I would make another Porsche called Ollie.
So I made the appropriate artwork and converted my Bburago into "Ollie". You'll probably notice that the eyes on the windshield are vaguely familiar. They are the Moon Equipment "Mooneyes" with the "Moon Equipment" lettering removed. I'll be giving this to the boy Ollie the next time I go visiting.

I didn't think I'd like being a grandpa...... getting along in years, etc. all that stuff. But these two children are the joy of my wife and my life. We love them dearly.

Yeh, I think you're right and forgive me for being obnoxious about it. But there were pictures of diecasts in the post and they were all 1:18th so I guess I'm sorta' OK with the definition of the forum.
