Sealed diecast for about $120.    Fully functional replicas are available from ACME for just a bit more therefore I don't quite understand the marketing behind such releases, but......  to each his own  I suppose.

That rear spoiler looks a bit janky  to me.   Is it correct?  🤔 🤨

Extremely cool-looking Pontiac and in great colors here, too. I'd be delighted to have this one in any of the hues offered.

Who knows about that rear spoiler...? What makes you think it looks "janky"...?

Found this on the internet

  • The ducktail spoiler was originally designed for the Firebird.

  • The plan was to offer it as an option for the 1972 GTO, but the mold broke after a few cars were built.

And from the GTO forum

They did put out a few early year, the story is the original mold was damaged so they just deleted the option instead of re-tooling.

@fpaquet  Thanks!   I too have now seen a few online pics of '72 GTOs with this spoiler.  Prior to seeing KK-Scale's 1972 GTO model earlier today I had NEVER seen (or never noticed ) this rare spoiler before and, as far as I know, this is NOW the ONLY 1/18 GTO to have one like this.    So perhaps that fact alone will stimulate greater sales.
