1968 Pontiac Firebird 400 ZONE 3 car. This is how you do a proper door hinge. Handheld shot at f/2.8 using a 24-70mm lens.

Yes, that is good, but I believe Autoart's 1964 Aston Martin DB5's (revised in 2024 ) hinge is better. 😎 😉

John, we had nothing to do with the door hinge or great door & panel gaps of the model but it was surely one of the things we looked at when we commissioned Lane to do it for us.
(I did have something to do with the license plates though. I live in Blount Co. TN)

@marty-johnson Yes, I do have around 30 - 45 non-American makes in my collection; now that I think about it, many are Mercedes.

@perrone1 Yes, you'll recall that a while back I posted a rather lengthy (many pics ) post of all the 1/18 "Goldfinger" DB5s available, concluding that this revised Autoart is the best - and that's why it was a must have for me. I'd been waiting a LONG time for a GOOD 1/18 version of this 1964 Aston Martin.
As much as I hate black interiors, for this car, there's only one color-combo.... and that's Bond's, James Bond's (color ). 😎

@chris Yep, I DO remember that expose on the 007 Car. And funny, I NOW dislike black interiors too but agree it fits the Aston well.
