Ode to Alitalia [PIC] back when they had enough money to sponsor a Lancia Stratos race team.
This car reminds me when the US debuted the F117. How can anything that weird looking actually fly? It turned out the Stratos was actually quite successful in the '70s with its little Ferrari Dino V6, despite its rather lame transmission.

great model. I always loved the cool, funky looks of the Stratos. Kyosho did a nice job on this model...love the chains on the rear flaps.
Mine is the #1 car, the 1977 Monte Carlo winner.

Did you buy your #1 a long time ago?
I missed the first issue and waited to get a reissue of the Stratos with Alitalia livery.

yes a very long time ago, though I didn't buy it new.
Bought it dirt cheap from a fellow collector that was down-sizing his collection.
