@perrone1 It's a sealed resin model produced by Ottomobile. I've seen them range from $310 - $400. One must really be a VW fan - that's a fair amount of cheddar for "static fun." 🤨 🤨

I, for one, could never spend $$ on a static model like that. I had my fair share of Jo-Hans and AMTs growing up.

@100ford2003 fair enough...
I was in 1/18 diecast Heaven for quite a few years. I helped sell at the two biggest car swap meets here in SoCal. I took my compensation in model cars and ended up with a few hundred. I loved working with Randy and his family at these venues.

@100ford2003 for me I'll continue to buy what brings me joy. I'm Blessed in the fact I have the financial means to not concern myself with cost. Doesn't mean I'm going to just pay what they want lol.

I understand. I’m not knocking anyones buying choices as I admire that you can buy what pleases you. Almost all my collection was sold off a few years ago. What’s left now has to be sold or given away. I thought i’d give my Exotos to my nephews (13 & 11) to sell at some future time but who knows what the market might be like. And, they’re mostly sports fanatics…lol. At 73 I don’t want my family to deal with my “leftovers”.
My plan is to offer them here for shipping cost and if a donation wants to be made I’d share it with the Forum.

Yepper pepper, me too! And it bugged me even then when nothing opened! I used to cherish some 1/25 Revell models because everything opened AND even the side trim pieces were separate AND chromed (long before BMF ). Their 1956 Chevy is a great example! So, um..... yeah, in 1/18 scale - everything should open!
