This 1959 Ferrari 250 GT Berlinetta takes in the sun. This timeless Pininfarina design was one more classic in Ferrari's 250 series that began in 1952 and ended in 1964. This was the first 250 to have disc brakes. Its 3.0 liter Colombo V12 was now pushing  279 hp and had many wins in the GT class from 1960 to 1962 when it gave way to the GTOs. 179 of these Berlinettas were built.

I only have five CMC models in my collection but two of them are Ferrari 250 SWB's

A brilliantly done model. I turned mine into a car that ran the TDF in 1961

@rich-sufficool's model is my CMC.

Beautiful model.  Mine is by Hot Wheels Elite.  A lot cheaper & obviously nowhere near as detailed, but still very nice.

@franklemire What's on top of the scoop bulge, Frank? a Tour de France sticker?

Rich,

Those first 14 pics are SPECTACULAR !

I'd swear they were of a 1:1 250 !

Maybe you've got one in your garage and haven't been letting on....

@rich-sufficool That is correct - All cars running had to have the sticker on the hood but it was not required that it be easily legible while the car was running

@100ford2003 A 1:1? Not bloody likely. Every time I think about getting a classic car, my wife reminds me that there's no room in the garage for it.
