One Lotus 49.... super-sized [PIC]
Raffi Minasian's labor of love is finally ready for prime time. This is Automodello's 1/12 scale rendition of Jim Clark's winning car of the 1967 Dutch Grand Prix. This mixed media model comes with a top notch display case and really makes a striking display piece.

I saw that car and driver at Watkins Glen. Beautiful car then and a beautiful car now. And an excellent model!

Right, Clark raced 49/R2 at Zandvoort, Silverstone,and Watkins Glen in 67
He won all three and wore #5 in all three races.
He also won in 49/R1 the Mexican and Spanish Grand Prix in 67.

Prototype model or production model in photos?
The tire lettering appears to be slanted and misaligned, which would probably indicate a pre-production model [I hope]

Rich, thank you for sharing your pictures of the model of this exceptional racing car.
As probably the biggest fan of Clark and Chapman on this Forum, I would say that this looks pretty good and nobody should jump to conclusions until they see the actual model.
There's a good Scottish saying that's probably a little bit more than relevant, if you remember from whence Clark came:
''Fools and bairns shouldnae see things half done, judgments should not be made on something until completed''
Great to have a large scale model of this very important car and very glad to see that Clark, Chapman and Lotus are so well thought of in the US.
