Paid for an auction, never received the car from Steve Jacobs and he still hasn't responded to my messages as he requested. Does this forum have any recourse for getting either one's money back or the item in this kind situation? Short of watching for any future auctions from this member and posting subsequent warnings against bidding on them?

Duncan, I wish nothing but the best for you but make no mistake.....

?. Being owed money (and even perhaps wining a lawsuit either by proving your case or a default judgement) is a COMPLETLY different matter than actually RECEIVING your money.

Just because you're owed money, doesn't mean you'll get money.

Again, forgive my "2 cent" comments. I'm simply trying to keep peace while hoping cooler heads prevail. I wish you the VERY BEST of luck.

Chris - You hit the Nail on the Head

I understand exactly how Duncan feels

I know a thing or 2 ... Because I've been there a time or 2

Very Slippery Slope

Not a Very Good Situation

Duncan, we do have a way to handle this.

Email me at kuvakas@gmail.com. I know Steve has been trying to take care of his father and is sometimes out of reach. But his reputation is very good and he's been a long-time supporter of the forums and the auction. I'd rather handle these situations privately rather than airing them publically. Thanks for your understanding and patience.
