(Pic) A 1955 Pontiac police cruiser.
A police spokesman said that reports of the fatal shot coming from an alleged "sniper's nest" located at a house on Elm Street were carefully and fully investigated and found to be inaccurate and erroneous and have absolutely no basis in fact.
The press has agreed completely about the results so far of the formal investigation, with the exception of a single independent local paper which published this photograph taken by a neighbor and which would seem to indicate a different sequence of events from the official one.

unless I miss my guess,that`s gotta be a CZ on the ground ...yes?.....the beechwood stock looks very familiar

Thanks ! It's a scoped Champlin– Haskins firing a 7mm Mauser round, .... but by the time it makes it into the official evidence (if it ever does) it perhaps could well be a Mannlicher-Carcano with a misaligned scope firing a 6.5mm round !
