Many years ago I picked up this deep blue Chevrolet truck at a Sam's Club holiday sale and I still have it. I liked the looks of both this Maisto 1/18 diecast and the real V-8 powered 1:1 pickup.

...yep, have this one too. I think the top comes off - or I "adjusted it" so that it would... 🤔 🤔 🤔 I believe it's the only 1/18 SSR available. It's cool, but I wanted a retro convertible car. If GM had made that I would've bought it.
At least they stuffed a V8 in these! 😎 😎 😎

Yes, it has the cool V-8, which I really liked. I never tried removing the top and I don't think mine actually does .....but I never really tried doing that ! I also think I have seen top-retracted diecasts out there .....although the top is a plastic part, I believe, so someone probably could modify it that way if they liked.
