(PIC) FYI - From CMC email this morning...
Today we`d like to introduce our exclusive new item no. M-168. The Essen Techno Classica 2016 special edition of the CMC Ferrari 250 GTO, 1962 in Midnight Blue.
This model is a worldwide limited edition of only 200 pcs.
SRP 495, - Euros. Pre-order is open now! Delivery starts after the Essen Techno Classica in April
The model can be purchased from the 7th of March on our booth (Hall 3, booth 211) at the Essen Techno Classica directly. We will offer 80 models in pre-sales, Which Means this models can be pre-ordered by email, or by phone .The shipment (+ Transport Charges) will take place after the fair. On the Techno Classica Directly we'll have 120 models for sale.

not all Euro sellers deduct the VAT. I know from other collectors, neither GT-Spirit nor Ottomobile deduct the VAT if you buy directly from them.

The side-by-side does reveal some differences. CMC did come very close but missed on some area.
Most glaring are the headlights. The CMC is angle of sweptback is more pronounced than the 1:1. It would also appear the the fenders are not as tall as the 1:1 too. That could be the result of a slight difference in angle and the different location of the side marker lamp.

Remember that CMC modeled their car on a car that was rebuilt by a coach builder that had no direct connection to Ferrari (See Frank Lemire's previous post).
CMC's interpretation of the exhaust pipes as they leave the headers and appear in the front wheel arches seem much more obvious and consequently rather obtrusive.
