(PIC) Just one more pic of things to come. ACME release of PM's 1/18 1956 Chrysler St. Regis 2-dr HT
You'll note PM's "project board." Although the 1956 Chrysler & 1959 Cadillac limousine did make it to production (now that ACME stepped in) sadly, the '49 Cadillac, 55 Sun Valley, '58 Oldsmobile & '59 Fleetwood did not. I doubt any tooling was ever created.
We came close with Sunstar's 1/18 1956 Mecurys and there's a few 1/8 1949 Cadillacs out there, diecast & resin. And of course if one was so inclined, a 1/18 1959 Cadillac Fleetwood could be fashioned from existing 1/18 1959 Cadillac models (I know I could do it.... lol) but... BUT
Can you imagine a 1/18 1958 Oldsmobile? There's NOTHING even close. Too bad.

THAT Chrysler is the one that stood out at the iHobby show we saw it at. Great color combo...
Will Acme be issuing this car in the pink black and white combo? I sure hope so.
I would love to see any of these and especially the '58 Olds ! I could then snap a family grouping of the "GM Five for '58" just like the commercial. I would use a 1958 Chevrolet (Ertl), 1958 Pontiac (Yat Ming), 1958 Buick (SunStar), 1958 Cadillac (Yat Ming) and, hopefully an Acme/PM 1958 Oldsmobile !
Weren't commercials weird back then? Great nostalgia. Thanks for posting.
To complete the asst. Mike, you will also need AA's 1958 Corvette.
I luv this in the pink. Maybe DM will issue this under their branding as they've done with others.
