I came across this old picture I took of my 1/18 Ertl Plymouth GTX convertible. I still have this replica although it is packed in my storage unit right now. It was done nicely by Ertl and they also did hardtop editions of this diecast. Back then, you could find such models at places like Wal-Mart, Target, Toys-R-Us, etc. The price might be an extravagant $24.95
Shucks, that is sharp looking. I am trying to figure out my " lowest " cost model.
@modeldadeeee Well, from what I've seen Ben... it's probably this one - as I remarked last week - "$30"
@modeldadeeee ....I guess the price increased; I see now that they're on Amazon for $46 (black only - I do not see blue ) Well, I'm still guessing, even @ $60, it's still your most inexpensive by far. 🤔 🤨
Very true as even my baby motorcycle ran me $160.00
@modeldadeeee Exactly! Of those replicas you've shown here (at least ) I've seen nothing, other than that Audi, that would be considered "a cheapy." 😏 😏 😏
Mike, GREAT photo - that GTX looks phenomenal as a drop top!
My apologies OP for running over your posting.
@modeldadeeee ...we often run over the "OP" on these Forums. It may start off with something about Camaros, for example, but ends up with videos of donkeys & cats. 😀 😀 😀 ...however, your gracious apology is noted. 😀 😀 😀
No apology necessary, Ben ! What cool model automobiles these all are and liking cars is something we all have in common.
@grockwood Yes, very nice..... it never occurred to me that multiple GTX years are available; I have all those models, but not in GTX form. Those are very cool pics! 😎 😎 😎
