This 2022 Volvo XC40 Recharge is yet another 1/18 without and engine. I like these "front trunk" (frunks) vehicles. This model has some great features: Excellent, in scale, metallic paint in a cool color, nice intricate detail & badging, sliding/folding seats, folding mirrors, great rear window defogger lines, crystal-clear "glass" and lensing.
Bad points to be noted: A fixed sunroof (usually "panoramic tops" include opening sunroofs). Horrible "wobble wheels." No "true-spins" here, rotate these wheels and it will remind you of having bent spokes on your bicycle! (The worst I've EVER seen on a 1/18 replica). Some of the black paint around the door frame glass is a bit spotty. And neither charging doors ("gas doors") open. Not sure why there's two of these??
Anyway, not too bad overall. Something I had to add to my collection of 1/18 "non-ICE" vehicles.

I was just about ready to text you and ask you what you meant by a non-ice engine when it just struck me like lightning.
I'm pretty sure it means internal combustion engine am I right LOL?
So nice model where did you get it?

Correct. "ICE" is the industry's acronym for Internal Combustion Engine. I suspect the term "ICE vehicles" will, one day, be as common in history books as the term "horse & buggy" is today. We are truly living through a monumental change in vehicle manufacturing; I want at least a few 1/18 models to represent this fact. I like history! 😆 😆Â
That 1/18 Volvo was purchased from China through AliExpress.
