(Pics) 1956 Chevrolet Bel Air

Precision Miniatures released this magnificent version of the great '56 Bel Air in 4-door hardtop form some years back. For both Chevrolet and PM, these were all-time winners in my view.

Here's another variation on the theme.

This car was painted three colors for the 1958 movie, Mon Oncle. I am working up the nerve to buy the 1/18 for a repaint, but without a current setup for painting, I am hesitant. And I still haven't figured out why the car without skirts and continental kit is about $40 higher than the one with.

It would make a fun conversation piece for sure.

Thanks, guys. I sure wish that

PM was still around releasing such fine models, or that someone will make use of any available tooling.

David, that's a very cool version of the '56 Bel Air ..... it would make for a terrific re-paint project !
