what looks like a deep tan Pontiac nudging forward.
Thanks for all the compliments. That 1/18 '59 Pontiac is a Sunstar Bonneville. It's a great model as is, but on mine I adjusted both F&R wheel tracks and the whitewalls (..the tracks & whitewall widths were too wide ).
Actually, I've used it as such but if you look closely, you'll notice MANY other 1/18 Chevrolets. Initially, the post was about 1/18 '50's and early '60's Chevrolet replicas.
I'm getting too old to remember if I even changed my underwear this morning....
Chris, I've ALWAYS known bout your '59 Cadillac 'Fever'
Yep!
One of my regrets in life was selling my 1959 Cadillac Coupe de Ville. I just might have to get another....stay tuned!
It looks beautiful Chris I can't tell from my small screen on my phone what color it is though it looks like it's a metallic Brown in the first picture and then it looks black in the second

Good eye! Yes, metallic brown was the color and really, the chief reason why I sold it. I bought the car from a lawyer who had it re-painted, but it was not authentic/original.
I always seek original cars, so the '59 was sold. Of course, I should've just repainted it...but... well, you know. Hindsight is always 20/20. 🙄 🙄Â

So Chris was it repainted in the same color or did he change the color ?
@100ford2003 ....It was not original. Had I repainted it back to original, despite being accurate, it was a color I didn't much care for ..."Gotham Gold" (yellow ).

IMO, that's not the best color for it either. A Cadillac that regal looking should wear a sophisticated color. Something just a bit more formal while stating that I have truly arrived because I have this Cadillac.
That's a great color but it was an extra-cost choice back in '59, except for Eldorado. Dover White is all I ever wanted.....triple white, series 62 1959 Cadillac convertible...would really be "the one!" Most collectors today desire Seminole Red...and will paint any '59 that color. "Resale Red" is alive and well! (The first two pics are of my 1/18 Autoart )
@chris & @100ford2003 Guys, I've been following your conversation, and interesting it is too. Shame you let go of the Cope De Ville, Chris. But regarding colour, I would think it depends upon the area you're (the Cadillac) is living in. So the Gotham gold with white top I reckon would look glorious in sunny environment. Likewise, the white, whereas perhaps a black or red would better suit a city environment?
