(Pics) 1962 Oldsmobile Starfire
Oldsmobile for '62 featured a Starfire with typically great Olds styling and a 345 hp Skyrocket 394 cid V-8. Yat Ming produced a couple of colors in their really cool Platinum Series release from some years ago.

Mike
I sometimes hang out at the local old time garage (honest mechanic that's been in the business since the 60s) and am friends with his son (who is younger than me but older than my kids). Anyway, a guy who works there on the weekends has a red '63 that belonged to his Dad. A really nice car that is almost exactly like another version that was released.
Looks nice. Great pics Mike. I like the red one.
Again beautiful photography and great PS done by you... Just awesome..
Outstanding gallery.
It's great that Olds Starfire is still in the family !
I like them both .... so I have the red one, too !
Thanks, Animesh !
Thank you !
I owned two 1/1 62 hardtops and a 61 convertible. Sure wish they had made a model of the 61.
It took me four years to restore the 61. They were great cars except for the slim jim Hydramatic transmissions. The shift sequence on these transmissions was just aggravating in stop and go traffic.
PIC - Hi Bob, I agree completely about the "Slim Jim". My '62 was exactly the car that SunStar produced. Man. I loved that thing!photo no longer available
Great picture Andy. My friend's 61 Catalina also had the same transmission.
