Many years ago, Ertl did this fine 1/18 diecast version of the strong and great-looking mid-sized Buick coupe. Both the car and the replica were done in several colors and this is the bright red edition. I got mine from the old Evers Toy Store located in Iowa.

Ertl did some pretty nice models and I acquired many of them from TRU.

Yep, Ertl did a really nice job on this diecast Buick replica. It was a solid effort by them in doing this 1/18 model and I can only imagine the enjoyment in having and driving a real 1:1 example !

@michaeldetorrice Mike, my first new car was a 1966 Buick Skylark GS 400.The car was extremely fast because Buick knew that torque was an important ingredient in making speed.

These 1967 Buicks came is several different levels of "embellishment."    I believe the hobby editions were the top-of-the-line - improved detail, opening trunks, limited colors, etc.     One day, I just may have to pick one up!  😉

Bob, that 1966 GS 400 Skylark from Buick sounds like a wonderful (and strong) automobile to have as one's new car ! If only we could have a giant (and rent-free) place where all of the vehicles we owned (and/or loved) still exists just for our pleasure !

Of course, such a place really does exist for all of us. It known as our imagination ...... which can be aided by our replica cars.

@chris As a result of this thread, I now have a white model of the car coming. I chose the white as it was the only one with a simulated vinyl top.
