This is Ertl Authentics extremely nice 1/18 diecast model of the good-looking and powerful SS396 Chevrolet SS396. This one is done in a beautiful blue shade and has all the great details that come with the Authentic line of replicas.

Yep! A great model, and hard to find in "stock"  form.  This blue looks nice.

I always loved that GM blue. Problem was its tendency to fade over time.

Seldom wrong and right again Rich!   My 1968 Buick Skylark convertible was a shade lighter.....but got even lighter as time went on!   🙄 🙄 🙄 🙄

HA!  I kind-of had the reverse response....  Mike made me remember I had a purple SS  version somewhere (I had to find it ) to compliment my gold "stock"  version.

I had my metallic blue '67 Firebird repainted for the same reason.  When I got it back the difference was amazing.

Thanks ! I also have Ertl Authentics SS427 version in black and it is also a terrific car and model. Some of my young nieces were fans of the show "Supernatural" and although this isn't a four-door Chevrolet (and one has been done by Greenlight) I used my black coupe to make a computer image for them. The tower is actually from my old grammar school, lol !
