Magnificent photos Mike. Love 'em ALL!
...it's not a bad model but it's one I don't have. 😔
@grockwood Just as an aside, these two are currently available in 1/64 scale. The Rebel comes in red and silver choices as well.
Yat Ming did a great job with this 1/18 diecast model and it is quite an excellent value at it's price point. I remember it was a rather unexpected and welcome 1/18 scale diecast at the time.
Jack, I forgot about the 1/64 versions. I don't have the Rambler you showed, but I have a drag car version and I have a couple of Rebels.
The only omission on the Yat Ming is the red, white and blue under the grill that completes the "The Machine" livery.
Those Johhny Lighting "1/64" look pretty good. Rich, I always love to see those factory-correct enhancements! Should I ever acquire one of these I will surely do the same........ ..... and open the trunk. 😉 😉 😉

Thought you'd sneak that past me? LOL
I have the Machine in 1/18 scale and the Scrambler in 1/43 scale. Last year we had an example of each in 1/1 scale. I've always been fond of the Scrambler.
"Last year we had an example of each in 1/1 scale."
Qualify this please Bob. You mean friends of yours have these, or they were at the same car show you were, or.....??
Mike, that red w/black hood looks really sharp.
@rich-sufficool Other color options were available in 1970 - even with the red & blue stripes - so I guess "Red" is not so far-fetched, just rare. Most AMC Rebel Machines were, of course, white (blue & red ).
Rich, it does look very good in red, too ! I think both AMC (and perhaps Yat Ming in 1/18), may have made another color or two available for order, too, maybe black and also a deep blue edition. In all cases, it is a very good looking automobile from the muscle-car era.
