Here is an Ertl diecast model of the big re-styled Ford Torino for the generation done in the mid-1970's. This one is the 1976 Torino that was also released as the "Starsky and Hutch" undercover police vehicle with the special red and white graphics.

The model is really well done and features the big, but heavily de-tuned 460 cid V-8 engine. One of my pictures has been photo-shopped to see what a somewhat re-styled "muscle car" Ford Torino could possibly look like.

I was very glad when Ertl released this Starsky & Hutch car  in stock form; it's not too bad.  I made trunk hinges for mine....

IMO, one of the ugliest Fords ever to come out of Michigan.

Thanks, Tony ! It is a big and impressive diecast replica in TV or civilian form.

This year Torino styling looked a bit generic compared to previous years IMHO.

Wow, not many 70's Torino fans.... not Ford's best effort, but they marketed the hell out of the thing, and they sold fairly well in several iterations throughout the '70's. They made for cool looking stock cars too....  something (AGAN! ) I'm surprised Autoworld  hasn't capitalized on.

I liked the Torino well enough up to and including 1973.

I "had" two 1:1s of this car.  They were company cars when I worked for Bic Pen Corporation.  I had two because one was totaled in a head-on collision.  Yeah, I was lucky.

Super reliable, and they both ran with the efficiency of a Kenmore kitchen appliance.
