This is Yat Ming's 1/18 edition of the 1979 Pontiac Trans-Am, as done here in silver. For '79, this was a hot car and the diecast of it was very nicely done and displays well.

Ah yes, a very underrated model for sure. It's not perfect, it sits a bit too high & the roof may be a bit too low, but other than that ...it's an excellent model/value. Well, it was an excellent value once; is anything  cheap anymore?  😏 😏

A friend of mine in high school had a sister (yes, a girl! ) who bought one new, just like this, but he got to drive it. There was NO cooler car in the late 1970's, and we were "kings," until the all-new 1982s came out.... then OVER NIGHT this car looked as dated as 1956 Studebaker!

Everyone wanted "Knight Rider, not Burt Reynolds!"

Nice pics Mike.

That looks great.  I'm missing a later 2nd gen T/A in my collection.

Thanks !It is pretty neat and in this scale, I also have an earlier T/A as done in orange by Yat Ming. As with all Pontiac Trans Ams, they help defining the word "cool". Smile
