This is a Yat Ming diecast replica of the 1979 Pontiac Trans-Am in silver. YM I believe may have also done this one in 1/43 scale, too. It is a great-looking car, although power was well down on what it used to have under the hood. Nevertheless, Yat Ming did a fine job with this one and it displays very well.
Oh yeah, terrific Trans Am and fantastic photos!!
Looks great Mike and your pictures are terrific.
@grockwood Outstanding collection of T/As! Despite owning a 1:1 for many years, Pontiac Firebirds & T/As are woefully underrepresented in my scale collection. 😔 😔 😔
A good friend of mine had a brand-new real Pontiac Trans Am from 1980 or so. It sure looked and sounded great. When he first got it, he visited me up at graduate school and I didn't know he had it.
As we walked out to get lunch, he suddenly spotted a new Trans Am in the parking lot and quickly said, "I think I will open the door and sit in the driver's seat just to see what it feels like." I was dismayed and said that's not a good idea and you shouldn't do that !
Then he produced the key and started up his brand new Pontiac Trans Am, lol !
Great looking T-As...Thanks guys for posting!
