(PICS) A couple of the latest Maqmadon 1/24 trucks....Unic and Berliet
My brother sent these two models down to me after Xmas to show me his latest acquisitions from France. They're both georgous and follow in the great tradition of the previous Maqmadons models....beautifully detailed and proportioned models of various historic and loved French trucks. Both of these models have opening doors and engine hoods with lots of engine and chassis detail.
The men who own this French company are absolute truck-nuts....these projects are a labour of love for them.
The first is a Unic 'produce truck' of the type that farmers and co-ops would use to take their wares to market.
The second is a Berliet 'skip-truck' and the rear mechanism can be positioned either to pick-up/deliver the skip or, with the flick of the rear mechanism, can be used to dump the contents of the skip.
As I've travelled in life, I've grown to really enjoy the trucks and vehicles from other countries, and these French trucks from Maqmedon are some of the most interesting. The fit, finish, and proportion of these diecast trucks are outstanding.

These are exactly the two Maqmadon models I would have chosen for myself.
