Being a sucker for white interiors, whitewalls and Mopars...this particular HW61 was a "no-brainer" for me. It's a nicely done 1/18 1969 Dodge Dart Swinger optioned 340 V8 replica but of course despite owning it for more than 10 years I still haven't fixed any of the shortcomings, such as the wheelcovers, ride height, seat backs (just to name a few).Â
You'll note the 1968 Maine license plates with '69 tabs; now that's a cool touch! 😎 😎Â
I like the fact it's a '68 though. I love 1968 Mopars!! (I always look for those little round marker lights... 😀 😀)
Good looking pics too!
Highway 61 picked great subject matter with this era of Darts. The models are really well done and I enjoy my Mod Top version.

My first car was a 68 Dodge 2 Door basic. 170ci Slant Six. It was a business mans car, and I paid $350 for it. Ran it from 1974 when I acquired it to 1982, when I traded it in for a 80 Pinto Wagon. I rebuilt the engine at 150,000 miles when it burnt a valve make a trip from SC to Va. Was a great car for me. Since I am not a 1:18 collector any longer, I always hoped to get one in 1:24. The best I could do was build the plastic models that were offered.
The slant sixes were a reliable economy engine. (although souped up versions were available to provide a real kick) I am sure my Dad's 1960 Valiant (which was our family car for a while) had a slant six in it.
