This is a 1/18 diecast model of the General Motors/Buick experimental dream car from 1938, designated the "Y-Job" by Harley Earl and the GM design team. This replica was done by Anson but was later also released, I believe, under the Ertl and SunStar auspices.
It is a really well done diecast and was available in it's standard gloss black color scheme. Nowadays, I believe they may be found at a fairly high price, given their comparative rarity.

That was once the case. Before Autoworld acquired the tooling from Anson, these were fetching well north of $100, compared to Anson's initial MSRP of c.$25 (...that's when I should've sold mine, but I just couldn't part with it 🙄) Currently, secondary market pricing is c.$35 - $50
Overall, It's a great model. The sealed boot is a separate piece that can be hinged for accuracy. It looks great with the top up. I had to paint the steering wheel though; I'm not sure why anyone thought "chrome" was correct. Nice pics Mike! 😎 😎
Have it, love it. The model displays well and always draws comments.
Quite an impressive and forward thinking design for 1938!
When I first saw that Anson model, I really didn't like it. Now, looking at your pics, I wish I had bought it.
I wish I had bought it.
I don't collect concept cars; I have but a few.... but this being (arguably ) the first, well.... why not? Compared to 1938 production cars, this Buick is really something! 😎
