(PICS) Chevy 150 Black Widow
Highway '61's '57 Racecar shown with an original Chevrolet publication showing how to set up a '57 Chevy for stock car racing (according to early '57 NASCAR rules). The recommended body style was the lightweight 150 Fleetmaster 'salesman's coupe' with no back seat, and notice the 6-bolt heavy duty wheels/hubs/brakes,etc. Later in '57, a rules change required the Black Widows to use the 4bbl carburetor instead of the Ramjet fuel injection.
Although my 'Competition Guide' is an original in great condition, I believe that the official publication may be now available as a reprint.
