(Pics) Ford Gran Torino
This is Ertl's fine version of a '76 Ford Gran Torino in standard form, using the "Starsky and Hutch" edition tooling.
Real Gran Torinos from that year featured a 351 V8, but could be had with 400 and 460 cubic inch V8's.

Thanks, John ! I think the gold version is gorgeous and it's from the Ertl editions that have an opening trunk, correct ?
The non-opening trunk in my blue version is from the slightly lower cost series from them.

(Pic) LOL, speaking of sleepers, here's a quick photo-idea of what a more modern-themed Gran Torino might look like. With a powerful 460 under the hood and a few key necessary advancements that modern cars have given us, it would be fast, safe, good-looking (in my view) and BIG !

1972 Gran Torino Movie Car
I read on this forum some time ago that Greenlight was going to issue a 1/18 scale 1972 Gran Torino as seen in the movie staring Clint Eastwood. Has anyone received any confirmation or any info to the contrary? Thanks.

I do know that Greenlight is doing a 1972 Gran Torino Sport in 1/43 scale and it should be great. I am not sure if they are planning on doing a motion picture version in 1/18th scale but it would also be a terrific subject for them to do in their larger scale movie car series.
