Very nice Marlowe - when I get to the States would love to drop by and take a closer look!

Marlowe, it's a great car and I'm glad it's a manual.
Funny that you should post this just now, Marlowe. I was about to ask you........
what you used as a chase car in all your recent "On the Road Again" posts that have been so enjoyable. Looks reeeeeel clean and must be tons o' fun to drive.
But did I read that odometer right? 200K miles and it still looks this good ?!?!?!?! WOW ! Now THAT'S pretty impressive! Have you had to do any major drivetrain repairs and is the paint original, too? All I can say is those California miles sure seem to be a lot easier on a car than up here in northern New England!
Gene, I'm originally from Michigan so I know how the winters destroys cars.
Californians have no idea what rust is. It just doesn't exist here.
What is with the odometer?? Is it for real??
Also, what is the color called? Excellent car!!
Yep, it's real. It's the reason I posted the photos. I reached that 200K milestone today.
Not bad for a high performance sports car, 'eh? The color is called torch red.
Congrats ! No wonder your car was randomly parked...
Excellent maintainance and ride... What's the fastest you've driven that vette ?
:))
Marlowe, how long did it take you to achieve this mileage?
Nice Vette! I've always loved the Corvette, but the C5 & C6 are just fantastic, IMO. Love the Torch Red & the fact that its a manual...& 200K miles?! Wow...seriously impressive.
I purchased the car in January, 2002 so a little over 8 years.
Needless to say, the resale value of the car is virtually ZERO. Lucky for me that I have no intention to sell or replace the car. LOL!
I doubt I've ever taken it over 105 or 110. I almost always reserve my fun...
... on freeway entrance ramps!
Yes, I must stir my gears! I've also "warmed" up the performance by...
... upgrading the computer chip, mass air flow sensor, Lingenfelter performance intake manifold, cold air induction system, and Bassani low restriction exhaust system.
Anytime!
Gotta love them lateral G's!
