(PICS) Now for some 'orphan cars'...two Kaisers: a Manhattan and a Henry J
This '53 Kaiser Manhattan diecast was done in 1/18 by Highway 61 back in 2005. Kaiser's styling, both inside and out, was quite avant-guard for the era, but unfortunately, the only engine available was a Continental flathead six cylinder at a time when the competition was introducing modern OHV V-8s. Still, I think it was a quite attractive car and has aged well.

Below: Back in 2008, SunStar produced this 1/18 Kaiser '51 Henry J, a simple, basic economy car. It was available in two series, one with a 4 cylinder flathead, and the other with a Flathead six. In November of '51, there even was a brandlined version of the Henry J called an Allstate, marketed through the Sears stores and Sears-Robuck catalogue.

Great post Cliff ! Those are 2 cars that I don't ever remember seeing while I was growing up in the Buffalo NY area. I love the Manhattan !
