PICS - This car does not exist in diecast. I've always thought it was interesting.

Hmm...the wheelbase looks pretty stock and i know that there's a 1/18 hrdtp out there!
Come on Marlowe...are you hinting at something...lol
It is a stock wheelbase and SunStar makes a convertible of this car. Ertl...

Well, I ain't sayin' I am and I ain't sayin' I ain't.
:D;):))
Wow..i had a brain fert.. i have no clue why i said hrdtp!
Isn't it by Signature / Road Legends?
C'mon Marlowe, go for it. It would look great next to the others you fabricated!
Saint Clair Shores, Michigan
Well .... What R U Say 'n ????? ..... he he he he he LOL
I was wrong about the SunStar. I'm seeing YatMing and Road Legends. Brain farts here too.
:D;):))
Now see what you started..lol
At this point, might as well recreate everything! The driver, the strip, bleachers, every drag.....
...car that competed professionally between 1962-1968, flags fences, haulers, tow vehicles, emergency equipment.
Marlowe, you're greedy! You want EVERY popular '60's drag car in precision 1/18 scale. You're running wild, you're out of control....you're like Dr. Frankenstein.. I mean Dr. Oldsmobile!
You might as well craft some kind of 1/18 vintage drag racing scene. "A day at the strip." Your one-offs would garner ribbons and awards at model shows. A COMPLETE 1/18 drag racing-day at the strip-diorama would steal the show!!
At the rate you're producing, I think you'll get there even without trying. Now the real question.................
............................
............Can you fit this huge diorama into a Corvette?
ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Ha! I'll just concentrate on '64 - '66. Those were the most interesting years.
These are on the drawing boards. The 1965 Barracudas of Richard Petty and Tom McEwen (Plymouth Dealers) don't exist in diecast but I could fudge a bit by cheating and use the '66. They wouldn't be historically correct but very close. Also, there is no way I'd do all of them. I'd have to pick and choose which ones I REALLY, REALLY want. ๐
