Mark Donahue finished his career and his life with this extraordinary car. Taking advantage of the "almost anything goes" Can-Am rules, this Porsche 917 was converted into the 1085 HP twin turbo 5.4 liter flat 12 long wheelbase spyder for the 1972 to 1973 Can-Am season and this #6 car of Mark Donohue pretty much tore up the track. In 1975, it was converted to a top speed car with the displacement reduced to 5.0 liters and adding twin intercoolers producing 1212 HP. Repainted from Sunoco livery to its Cam2 Motor Oil's red and white livery, Mark Donohue then drove the car at Talladega Superspeedway achieving 237 mph. Right after that record run, he was killed driving a March 751 at the Austrian Grand Prix. Extraordinary details on this Exoto model.
