CMC's prices are going through the roof! Their new 1/18 1962 Ferrari GTO Le Mans #19 is listed for 2698.00 Euros!!! and that's WITHOUT the VAT. They still have one 1/24 model left to sell. It's the Mercedes 300 SLS silver Paul O'Shea for... 599.00 Euros. Something tells me my days of buying CMC models are over.
Rich, most of these CMCs can be "had" for free or close to it. The trick is to buy at least two of the same replica. You keep one, then when prices/values escalate on secondary markets (as they do 95% + of the time) you "off" the second one thereby recouping a great deal (or all) of your initial cost. I've never really gotten burned doing this (sure, there's a few cases when "secondary pricing" doesn't double. I of course, then, "settle" for less)...  the hard part is SELLING that second model. (I always want to keep everything... 😉 😉 )
...but to your point.. YES! Higher prices suck! 😫 😫 😣 😣Â

that one is a limited edition of 1500 and older model (only one is available), just for the right buyer
the new models are otherwise in the 600-700

I am surprised they still have 3 of these LE of 50!

@chav Oh WOW! With their signature wooden base and glass dust cover. Very cool!
After more careful investigation turns out the version with display case, base and accessories is LE of 50 ... another of those gimmicks.
The actual white/red roadster is "LE" of 4000
