quality and value

What do you think is the best manufacturer of models based on their quality and price? I guess I am an amatuer collector compared to most of you. Have about 40, but most are Ertl/Maisto and a couple of other brands. Also, what do u feel are the best sites to buy your cars. You can email me at mustangstoc@yahoo.com if you like.

Ken, at the moment SunStar is the best bang for the buck

At the moment SunStar's new Platinum series is providing the best bang for your buck. You as a collector has to decide for yourself what level of quality and accuracy you are content with. I started collecting 1/24 from FRanklin and Danbury 16 years ago. It wasn't until about 4 years ago that I started to buy 1/18 scale. When I did I was only content with the higher end models like Lane and Highway 61. I would suggest you purchase one of Sunstar's new Platinum series like the Nash andset next to one of your Ertl models. Compare the difference for yourself.

Ken, if you like Mustangs (and what makes me think this)

Check out Greenlight for their '67 GT coupe and '68 California Special. IMO they are good value for the price. They have photo etch badging which surprised me as awhile back someone posted that they were disappointed with AutoArt for not having the 'FORD' on the hood. I would try to inspect 1st as they might have QC issues. I do love mine. Lee posted a pic of the white CS some time ago, he can make ANY model look good. I'll try to post a pic of the '67 soon.
