Question for Frank Lemire or Bill Bennett....
I'm doing a slow build of a 1/24 diecast replica of Hal Keck's 427 Cobra SCCA champ from '65. Have you ever seen his car liveried in any other number than 88? I ask as I'm borrowing some decals from the R/M plastic kit, which have the car as #11. I can't find any pics to verify that. Thanks!

88 was Hal Keck's preferred number...........
I have to say that I've never seen a picture of him running a 427 S/C with any other number
Unless you're averse to "88" why not make your own decals ?
Or have them made ?
Here is my Hal Keck tribute car..............

Hal ran the car painted different colors but the #88 was his 'signature'
I met him one year at Watkins Glen - he was a heck of a nice guy and a very smooth driver.
Not Frank or Bill, but according to Racing Sportscars...
he used #11A at the SCCA Road Race of Champions in 1965.

And #11 in 1964 at the same race.
Thanks Philip, good info, solves the mystery.
I orderd a couple sheets of generic numbers.....
looks like the "8"s are about right. I've never made my own decals. I think 88 is closely associated with Mr. Keck's Cobra so its the way to go. Frank, I saw him run at Lime Rock in CT several times, and he was a maestro with that thundering 427.
