"What can BROWN do for me?"
Well, Brown can bring me joy everytime they drop by!
Today, I received a large and a small package from 2 different shops. The small package contains the Minichamps NA Exclusive 365 Carrera 1500 GS in white. The 1:1 is in second place of my most favorite automotive design (Right under Lamborghini Miura). Even though I have yet remove the model from it's box, I can see there aren't too many differences compare to the 356 Speedster done by Kyosho in the early years. Still, it's a must have consider the fact that probably no diecast model manufacturer would bother to make this car into 1:18 again.
The large box contains my recent order from Replicarz. I feel kind of embarrass that I never order from them except when they have yearend blowout sales. I feel I am taking an advantage of their misfortune or something. I hope that's not the case. Anyway, I received only 4 out of 5 cars I order. I guess the either the Skyline VS2 was listed by mistake or people ahead of me brought them all. Regardless, it's not that important. I did receive the blue Judge by GMP. I always wanted the first release with yellowish orange paint job. However, I was too cheap to pay full retail and the whole edition quickly sold out. I guess the blue one will do especially at the price of 54 dollars!!! The blue Judge is as nice as my 72 ducktail. However, it's far more accurate consider the fact that the side exhaust pipes aren't the only error on the ducktail. The other model I got is the Pink Pig by PMA. I have been looking forward to buy this model for a long time. However, I can't find the strength to hit that "submit the order" button when the price tag is 120+ dollars with production figure of 10001. I waited till I can either find a deal or strength to push that button. Finally, Replicarz offered it to me at 64 dollars!! That's or near 50% off from the original price!! Anyway, the model is superb. The sound chip make me understand why they called this thing the "Pink Pig" ;). All I have to do now is to figure out how to remove this thing from the base. The other 2 cars I received are the new Subaru WRX and EVO VII. They are typical AA and I don't think I would waste your valuable time to talk about them here.
All and all, all models from Replicarz are perfect in everyway. There are no rip, scratch, or even a dent visible on any of the boxes. I only wish I receive the Skyline VS2 to make this whole purchase experience perfect. Anyway, sorry for the long message.
Nice haul Louis. Thanks for reviews
Can't wait to see my Replicarz deals...
Louis...
Like you, I'm not getting all the cars I ordered, but I will be happy with what I'm getting anyway. I'm still waiting for my cars to arrive- hopefully they will soon!
I ordered the 1967 Alfa Romeo in red- and apparently I must've just missed out. I am getting the blue Judge and the black BMW M3, however.
With those prices, I wish I could've ordered more, including the STi and the EVO!!!
Matt
The funny thing is...
I never receive any confirmation letter from them. (I wonder if my Hotmail account is having a problem.. BMW in UK never reply my message, so is MTR, and some other places) The only email I received from them is about the delay. As you can imagine, I was quite surprised when my order show up. However, the SKYLINE VS2 is not in the order list at all...
Anyway, I went ahead an placed another order with them. This time, I got myself the M1 with Map graphic ($34) and #59 3.5 CSL ($39). The deal is just too great to pass up!
By the way, I have the Alfa you are talking about. I got it on eBay for 40 dollars. It's the best AA so far!
Now that's the purpose of this Forum Right on Mat!
