Best $10 I Ever Spent......
I've been on the lookout for the Revell 69 Corvette Stingray Convertibles at Wal Mart ever since I saw the "Alert Message" on the Internet. I looked and I looked and nothing. My luck changed yesterday when I went to one goliath of a Wal Mart in Glen Burnie Maryland. They had all of the advertised Revell cars - Mustangs, Corvettes, NSX's, Beetles, etc. They only had one each of the 69 Corvettes, one red one blue & one silver. I liked the looks of the blue one, so I took it home. $9.98 is one heck of a steal for these Corvettes. If you're lucky enough to find one in your travels, I highly suggest you don't pass it up. It'll be the best $10 you ever spent.

Dave, The lettered tires put it ahead of most cars you can get for that price. Nice find!
😉
Appreciate the pictures.
Dave, thanks for the pics. There are a lot of good and cheap diecasts out now...
Dave...
That's a great find! I have yet to hit the Wal-Mart stores in my area this week- I'm going to try and stop by a couple tomorrow to see what I can find.
The best $10 I've spent to date was on the '65 Corvette by Maisto. I know some people pointed out an imperfection or two, but hey, it was $10 and I think it compares surprisingly well to the much pricier Motorbox '67, even though that car still has the edge in my book over all other C2 Corvettes.
I'm looking forward to picking one of these up. In the meantime, I'll enjoy your pics!
Matt
Revell Diecast
I hustled down to my local WalMart today an picked up the same one. It is the least expensive diecast I have purchased and it is great. Some of the $30 range cars should be so good.
They had some '55 and '56 T-Birds but they did not seem to look as good. There were also sone '65 Mustangs including a '55 Mustang pace car.
