@100ford2003 So this valve stem fetish has been around for a long time. 🤣
I have a Canon 7D MKII Digital SLR camera.
Oh oh, someone's been reading my posts !
Heck, it's the small details that can 'make or break' a model 👍
Let's go big rig. 1967 Peterbilt 359.
What a beaut ! What's it weigh ? Diecast, resin or a mix ?
@100ford2003 It is a mix the cab doors open but the hood does not. but they do make nice display pieces, I am still waiting for the trailer for this one.
Who ever would have thought that Maisto would model that Renault ?
It's a winner in my book ! Who else has one ?
Are there anymore Maisto models we might not know about ?
Not a bad Maisto at all. One could improve that detail or simply leave well enough alone. Nice car! 😀
Thanks guys. @100ford2003...this generation Alpine is pretty iconic outside of the US. Both Maisto & Bburago made this years ago & recently Norev, Kyosho & others have all released their different versions, including racing models. They are TINY cars, smaller than the similar year 911.
Maisto has made some absolutely fantastic models for very little money. Being a huge fan of the Porsche brand, this has always been one of my favorite Maistos.
Porsche 550A Spyder
@gavin Maisto has done a few early Porsches and, dog leg hinges aside, they are really nice. Here's a '48 356 spyder with no dog legs.
As great as the Maisto 356 Type 1 is, @rich-sufficool, yours looks to be the AutoArt. The Maisto doesn't have those types of hinges on the front or rear openings, carpet inside, nor that great looking steering wheel. Funny, I won an auction here many years ago for what was labeled as the AutoArt, but the Maisto showed up in the box.
Here's the Maisto:
@gavin I just came down to change my post. Actually, for me, it was the Aa 'banjo' steering wheel that was gnawing at me. I had received the Aa as a review piece after I had bought the Maisto 12 yeaars ago.
