Chris I had that green one also but I sold it because I wasn't happy with the way the foil was applied. It had the texture of the roof and looked bad to me. I'm surprised HWY61 let that go through production.
@100ford2003 Yes, I remember that thread and admitted I hadn't given it any thought but always believed that chrome trim seemed a bit lumpy..... Turns out, you're spot on, HW61 blew it! A great model otherwise.

I agree that it's a great model too. I really like the color they picked to go with the black vinyl roof. But, oh well, as we know, no model is ever perfect LOL.
@john3976 So awesome! And I think these PBs are the only KK-Scale semis have chrome metal bumpers. I know they wanted to keep costs down, but I sure wish the front clip tilted to reveal an engine. Still, a great heavy & big replica!
@chris From what I have read only the first batch had metal bumpers this one has a plastic bumper.
@john3976 Oh thanks (actually, now that you mention it, you may have told me this before....sorry for forgetting ) I suppose, therefore, that makes mine a tiny bit rare.
This one or the "exhausted" 😏 😏 (Uhlenhaut) Coupe are, in reality, 1/18 showstoppers...... still considered today as some of CMC's best efforts.
1970 Ford Mustang pro stock cars of two legends Dyno Don Nicholson and Bob Glidden, these cars are by Ertl. Both of these cars have great paint schemes and catch your eye. Both are also hard to find, I lucked out and found both of these new in box for $70 dollars each, I have seen the Glidden mustang go for as much as $200 dollars on eBay, the Nicholson mustang is harder to find, I just saw one on eBay listed for $129 dollars.

You got me! I don't seek cars like this but still..... I can't say I've seen either one. Cudos to you. 😎
Thanks for keeping this thread going @john3976! Some great models you've shown.

1988 Ford Mustang Florida Highway Patrol car by GMP. These are hard to find and sadly they will have missing antenna's like this one plus most will have paint rash as well. I wish ACME would re-release these. The ones you find for sale have big prices put on them when you can find one. I drove four different FHP mustangs during my career with FHP. These were fun cars to drive with there five speed manual transmissions.
My 1987 Mustang patrol car would do 135 MPH top speed, clocked on the installed VASCAR in my unit. VASCAR is a speed measuring device that is based on time over distance. Aerodynamic drag was the limiting factor. GMP got some things wrong like they put dual K40 CB antennas on the rear of the car but omitted the police radio antenna on the trunk lid that was in the center and they totally got the light bar wrong, that is a CODE three style light bar on the roof, the mustangs had Jet Sonic light bars. There was also no shotgun rack in the trunk.
