PICS....A couple of months ago I finally bought myself a 1:18 transporter. Liked it so much that the other day I got one more

DSC 0002

Needless to say they are for cars in my Cobra collection

How many Cobras do you have these days? I thought I was the only 'Cobra Nut' on this board. I forgot that you have a bit of the bug as well.

At last count 4 @1:12

                  21 @ 1:18

                  16 @ 1:24

                  45 @ 1:43

and a couple 1:32

No where near your superb collection of Cobras. Was tempted to get the 1:8 scale roadster but money is a bit tight and no room for it any way

There are a couple more in the mail that will be converted to Bruce Meyer's 1962 CSX0001?

CSX2001 would be a great add for my collection as well - Thanks to the Gordon Bruce book 'The First Three Cobras' there are plenty of photos to use as reference. Now you have me thinking....

The transporters are really a good value for the money - but you do need to have the right cars to put on them - at least if you are a stickler for accuracy like I am. Mine depicts the three Cobra Daytona Coupes that Alan Mann would have transported from the race at the Nürburgring in 1965 to Le Mans for the 1965 24 hour race. The number 55 car is a custom one I made to complete the set. Tom's collection is really impressive and he has taken full advantage of the smaller scales to be able to highlight the transporters of the era - impressive!
