I haven't seen one and I doubt they have one too. It's just being considered and hasn't...

Funny I saw the Chevy version months ago when I was told about this. Maybe there is a licensing hangup. I saw it.... that's interesting they kind would kind of back burner it.

Right but there is (was) 1000s of "weekend" racers that used "anything" to haul gassers/racers to...
...the track. So, I'll cut ACME some slack on this one. The sad aspect to this replica is that it's sealed. One could fix that but lots of effort would be required.
I still don't get it... MAISTO can still turn out brand new "full fuction" (all opens) diecast at SUPER bargain prices (I don't buy any of it but thousands do!) ...Why can'nt ACME "step up & tool up" all opening features and charge more. More collectors would make "more" purchases!

With Maisto selling to Costco type places, that is an order of about 320,000 cars, if each Costco stores gets just 2 pallets - in 1 year. Costco has been doing this a long times, so truly millions of Maisto cars have been bought by them. AMCE making say 1,000 pcs, say 3 versions each year for 10 years. That's 30,000 units in 10 years. And the trucks will be way WAY cool...

True enough Jim (I understand volume sales, lower costs, good margins, etc..) but..........
...my argument is simply "tool up" all opening features and charge more (higher MSRP). Yes, there seems to be a market for "Artisan Series" (and the like) models but why not do two versions? Much of the same components could be commonized to further reduce costs and "another" collector segment would get what they really want.... a scale replica.

Now THAT'S a great idea! It makes so much sense and financially very sound.
At least, it does to me. I wonder if ACME has thought of that. Mattel kind of did something similar with their Elite and Super Elite models.
