(Pics) Actually, my view is that
BOTH of these are excellent diecast models. The YM version came out first and is a superb value at it's price/detail point ..... as is Yat Ming's habit.
The Ertl Authentics is also a fantastic model and has quite a bit more detail ........ at quite a bit more of a price, which is completely understandable and which is also the Ertl Authentics target market.
I have two of the Yat Ming Chargers (a red and a silver) and I am completely happy with them. I also have a yellow Ertl Authentics one which I am also completely happy with. When these models are examined _in person_ I think each of their strengths become evident and they are both worthy examples of the great '66 Charger. Here are some snaps of each :

Thanks ! The ultra cool '66 Chargers from both YM and Ertl Authentics are fine diecasts, so it's easy to get good snaps of them ...... just point a camera in their direction !
Lucky Diecast is apparently the current licensee/owner of the Yat Ming tooling, but I don't know how active they are right now in putting out re-issues or if the '66 Charger is going to get a re-release.
Auto World owns/leases the Ertl tooling and I think they have done a production run of their Authentics + level 1966 Dodge Charger.
