Seeking the assistance of the auction administrator or other computer-savvy person. Does anyone in our group of computer-savvy members know how to obtain the dreaded "SMPT" information apparently necessary to successfully send an email to the administrator? I apologize for the public question.

It's SMTP and if you are getting an SMTP error, it likely means your mailserver is down.

If you can provide the full error message, I might be able to help more.

Thank you, Bob--

I am not receiving an error message. Rather, I am being asked to identify the name of my "Outgoing e-mail server [SMTP])." The sender is asked to provide his/her name, e-mail address and the names of the "Incoming e-mail Server (POP3)" and "Outgoing e-mail Server (SMTP)." The process of sending a routine e-mail to the Administrator is not particularly user friendly or easy to execute for the average e-mail sender. Thank you for you help.

That means your default email program isn't configured.

As a result, clicking on a mailto: link on any website won't work. How do you normally send and receive email on that computer?
