Winner of the 1968 24 Hours of Le Mans, driven by Bianchi/Rodriguez for JW Automotive Gulf Oil.
Thrilled that Solido released this model. I have an old & completely horrific UH version of the #6 car (the 1969 Le Mans winner). Granted the UH was released 20+ years ago, but this Solido is on another level, even for a relatively cheap model. It isn't the most detailed, but displays well with the Mk II & IV cars.
with the Mk II & Mk IV GT40s by Shelby Collectibles...
What is remarkable is that LeMans was won with an earlier iteration car than the previous winners of '66 and '67. I don't know for sure but I doubt that has ever occurred before or since in sports car racing at LeMans.
Very nice ! They are all colorful, sleek ..... and fast.

That is interesting.
Thanks guys!
An other great model at a great price and great pictures of it. We should celebrate these companies for doing such good work. I posted pictures of this here when they first came out and was told by multiple members that they didn't collect cheap diecast, someone said the model had too many problems, door sill too high, running lights too large, a few things like that, of coarse that was all wrong. Maybe I need glasses, I love it.

Thanks, @josh, I love it, too.
I think some collectors expect too much at these price points. I paid $46 shipped for this...a bargain, in my book. The Shelby Collectibles GT40s are riddled with all sorts of inaccuracies...guess what? I could care less. That yellow MkIV is one of my favorite Ford models.
I was expecting too little, it's just full of great little details.
