Sun Star 1956 Mercury 1:18

Hello All, I am new here and am looking for a Sun Star Platinum Model SS5141, 1956 Mercury Montclair, Persimmon and White. I have the full size edition the model is taken from. While looking for some parts I came across this model, same color and everything as my car, I now have to have one. As you all probably know I can't find one anywhere. My hope is someone here can point me in the right direction. There must be a secondary market for these models. Maybe someone on this forum has one for sale? Any help is appreciated.

Thanks, Bobphoto no longer available

(PIC) Bob, I like your model better. LOL! Great car, great car! I've always liked the '55 & 56...

....Mercs. Now the bad news.

This particular color combo release seems to have sold out and can longer be found. Sun Star could easily sell out a second batch-run but I doubt will see them.

Your best bet for finding this popular 1/18 model is solicite a collector; perhaps one from this forum? Also, be prepared to pay more than the suggested retail.

I do have an EXTRA. I will have to find it. E-Mail me at ned.anello@rcn.com.
I believe I only opened the box to inspect. I will find it & let you know.
It's NOT going to be CHEAP!!
Thanks, Ned

I'll trade ya! [PIC}

You're driving my first car! I'd love to get back into the seat of that one. This is what it looked like in 1964. It's probably been reincarnated as a Toyota about 5 times by now. The model is in much better shape.

Thanks Chris. It makes me smile to drive it around and people seem to enjoy seeing it. You are correct there don't seem to be many models of this color combo around. I had no idea it was so popular.
