Parisian Peugeot dealer Émile Darl'mat envisioned a light weight streamlined Peugeot 302 to race at Le Mans. This aluminum bodied 1937 302 Darl'mat was was a collaboration between designer Georges Paulin and coach builder Marcel Portout. The Darl'mat lineup featured 3 models: a coupe, roadster and convertible. Production years were 1934 to 1939 with a total of 103 built. The chassis was shortened and a race prepped twin carburetor 2 liter 4 cylinder from the 402 model was used for their "special sport" racers . All 3 models were raced at Le Mans in 1937 and 1938. In 1937, 3 entries finished in the top ten. In 1938, they finished 1st, 5th and 7th. This Norev model is a non-race pure 302. I love that neon green swirly accent.
I would ❤️ to treat the 1:1 to a MeGuiars wash & wax weekend 👍 What a beautiful automobile.
Rich, as usual great pictures and writeup. I too love the pin stripe.
Love it. This is the first time that Ihave seen it in model form. Thanks Rich.
Very cool looking...something different. The faux side ports put Buick to shame! Lol.
